Up, Up and Away

Read Geoff Johns' Superman! Seriously. As angry as I was with another retake on the character and throwing away or retconning the origin in the last couple of years Johns makes it bearable. Beautiful artwork and Superman written great. Just good stuff.

Almost Done

Sorry about the lateness between posts. Been pretty busy packing up my life to get ready to move back to Canada. Crazy stress trying to get all this together. Three weeks to go and so much left to do. Here's a couple of pieces I did recently. The first one is my niece Brooklyn as a princess for her birthday. I'm fairly happy with the picture. The layout's a bit iffy but I'm happy with the drawing of her. First time I tried drawing a child. Mike Wieringo always made it look so easy. *sniff*

Jam

A piece a did for a Jam on Millarworld. Came out pretty decent. I really need to work more on my inking. I think it definitely lost something from pencils to inks. Next time.

Well Whaddaya Know...

Things have been continuously crappy lately. Had food poisoning TWO WEEKS IN A ROW. That's gotta be some kinda record. Andy's been sick and now we both feels colds coming on. Not to mention a bunch of our coworkers finished their contracts and we're short handed resulting in us teaching 12 hour days for the last weeks. It's Andy's birthday this Wednesday but we don't finish till so late me may not be able to go out and do anything for it. On a good note I entered a Draw Off on Millarworld.net for a Flash costume redesign and I won! Whoohoo! First time entering and a win. There were only like 6 entires mind you but they were all really good and the voting was fairly close. Pretty cool. Gives me a nice needed ego boost.

Gettin back on the wagon.

Back's been feeling a bit better lately. Still not amazing and back to normal but minimal pain and hopefully getting better. Here's a couple new drawings for the Knights comic. One I spent a fair bit of time on. I recently bought a book on drawing perspective for comics and gave some of the techniques a whirl. Came out okay. I can see myself improving which is always nice. Now that my back is getting better I hope I can post here fairly regularly again. Draw till my eyes bleed. Wicked.
